The Cornell University Chorus and Glee Club are excited to announce that we will be touring through the Pacific Northwest in January of 2020! This is our first time in more than a decade coming to this part of the country, so we are especially looking forward to
connecting with our beloved alumni on the west coast. During our two-week tour, we will be in the greater Seattle area from January 8 to January 10, 2020, which will include workshops at public schools, community outreach, and a final concert
Downtown. However, because we are a student-run organization working with a limited budget, we cannot make this happen without your support!
We are looking for hosts to homestay the students Friday (1/10) evening. There are no formal requirements; we simply ask that the hosts provide a safe place for the students to sleep overnight.
The students will meet you after the concert and the reception sponsored by the Cornell Club Friday evening, and get dropped off near University of Washington the following morning. We need to house
about 100 students, so we could really use all the help you can provide even if you can only host two students! During our past tours, homestays have been a wonderful way for alumni to connect with
current students–students love learning about alumni’s lives post-Cornell and alumni likewise have expressed having had very positive experiences hosting our members.
If you are at all available and interested in hosting any number of students, please contact me at 925-989-5033 or firstname.lastname@example.org
Thank you in advance, and we look forward to meeting you in just a few months!
